Trust House Reading: Helpline Volunteer
Trust House Reading provides a confidential helpline service to survivors of rape and sexual abuse aged 18 or above. Helpline volunteers aim to support survivors of rape and sexual abuse by providing a safe space to talk and share their feelings; by providing information and signposting to other relevant organisations/services; and by referring clients to Trust House Readings different services. KEY TASKS: Take calls on the telephone helpline during the 4-hour shift; Fill in detailed call logs for every call; Attend a mandatory monthly supervision session; To arrange cover with another volunteer, if unable to fulfil a designated rota shift.
