Featured Groups

Maidenhead Synagogue (information provided by Barbara Grossman)

The Maidenhead Synagogue is based in Maidenhead and comprises over 850 families with people coming together from all over the South East including Southampton and East London. It is a social cultural community centre with religious services and strong emphasis on education. The Synagogue has a Kosher shop and library which has extended to two rooms.

The pandemic has seen some positives within the community, with members living further away or in poor health able to ‘participate’ in social & cultural events, as well as watch services; new friendships made; practical help offered & received by people linked through the Telephone Tree; offers to ‘entertain’ given willingly; improved communication and network groups re-established.
