Guidance to help measure loneliness

In October 2018 the UK government announced a strategy (https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/750909/6.4882_DCMS_Loneliness_Strategy_web_Update.pdf) to tackle loneliness in England. At the same time the Office for National Statistics (ONS) worked with a panel of experts to recommend a set of questions to help measure loneliness. The What Works Centre for Wellbeing has now produced short simple guidance (https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/750909/6.4882_DCMS_Loneliness_Strategy_web_Update.pdf) for small charities and social enterprises to support you to use these measures in your evaluations. There is also an editable questionnaire you can start using right away.
